Venue

Orléans is located on the banks of the river Loire, in the heart of the Loire Valley. This central part of France, is classified as a World Heritage Site of the UNESCO for “an outstanding cultural landscape of great beauty, containing historic towns and villages, great architectural monuments (the châteaux), and cultivated lands formed by many centuries of interaction between their population and the physical environment, primarily the river Loire itself.”

Orléans, 120 km south of Paris, is the capital of the Région Centre-Val de Loire and can be easily reached from Paris international airport and railway stations hubs. The town is famous for one of the most fascinating figure of France’s History, Joan of Arc who liberated the town after years of English occupation in 1429. From charming walk along the banks of the river Loire, to the discovery of the historical assets of the old streets of town and fine gastronomy, Orléans has so much to give!

The conference will be located in the International University Centre for Research, located in the Hôtel Dupanloup in Orléans, a jewel of Orléans architecture dating from the 17th century, listed as a historic monument, which once served as the setting for the former bishopric and the municipal library.
